Fleas are a notoriously hard problem to solve. You can do a number of things to battle this problem, however. The first thing to do is to thoroughly vacuum everyday, than spray the area with a good flea spray. Always toss out your vacuum bag once you are finished cleaning your living space.
Put some mint around the house to keep mice away. Plan mint around the perimeter of your house. Mice will not want to live anywhere near it. Sprinkle mint around to deter rodents. This will repel mice in most cases, but always remember to sprinkle fresh mint leaves.

Dry Goods
Utilize plastic containers for storing dry goods. Most dry goods are in boxes and/or bags, which means that they can be accessed by pests easily. Put the food in a sealed bin. This will keep your food fresh much longer.
If you find yourself facing a bee or wasp, use hairspray! Hairspray is totally safe for humans, but deadly for insects. Hairspray adheres to the insects, preventing them from reaching water and food. This works well on bees, especially when you don’t want to approach them.
Put some steel wool in any holes so rodents cannot crawl through. The mice or rats will eat it and they’ll end up dying. Use spackle to plug the rodent holes.

You can reduce the number of insects getting into your home if you keep flowers and bushes a few feet away from your home. Tiles on the ground all around your home helps keep the bugs out. This also makes it easier for you to keep windows open because you no longer have to be concerned about any insects coming in.
If a raccoon takes residence in your home, you can use oil of mustard to repel it long enough to block its entrance. Spray the oil where you find raccoon droppings or a nest and look for holes through which raccoons could get in. Cover this entrance with wire mesh to prevent re-entry.
